The Original Idea
Our original idea consisted of creating a viable product that could help bikers be more visible in their day to day commute. At first, we hoped to add turn signals and other reflective materials in order to protect our customers. However, due to state regulations we had to remove these features
Pivot
Firefly should help illuminate all
After legal setbacks, we decided that as a company we needed to change our vision. After putting in the time and critically thinking of how to overcome these obstacles, the company realized we needed to branch out. From this decision, we chose to make a product with more utilitarian use and streamline design
Business Model
Most bike lights and athletic safety attachments are made for serious athletes. Detego products are made for everyone. The value in the Firefly comes from it's versatility but on a larger scale, value stems from the community we strive to make in the athletic community.
Our Future
Currently, our company is working towards expanding our products into a broader market that does not just include bikers but all outdoor enthusiasts that want a unique innovative light to help brighten their journey.
